Artist's Comments

A drawing done for my Illustration class, where we had to make two illustrations to go with the story of Alice in Wonderland.

Here we can see Alice at the tea party with the Mad Hatter (who is spilling his tea everywhere), the March Hare in the back and the little Dormouse sleeping on his pillow.
Done with coloured pencils on paper, though the scan changed the colours (wasn't really able to fix it much in Photoshop) and apparently added a bit more grain to the drawing or something. Oh well. ='3

This drawing is so cool :D I love the story and this might be one of my favorite scenes.. You really did it justice :) I still like the colors although they might not be the way they where supposed to be.

Very adorable! The perspective of the table makes the drawing and the characters are nicely spread around it. Really every piece of the paper is used. I also love the way you use colors.

It's very dynamic. The tea for example is great.

I did my best to try and find a nice enough composition and make everything look dynamic enough, while still not making the drawing -too- busy. Which is not easy to do when you want to add tea pots and cups everywhere. X3

Well I noticed the colours look different on my computer monitor than on my laptop (which I'm usually using). So maybe the colours do look right for some of you. Not like it really matters, I think it's fairly easy to see that they're supposed to be quite bright and colourful. X3
This is indeed one of the coolest scenes from the book, which is why I decided to draw it; was a lot of fun. =D
