Description
Well, finally I'm uploading a drawing I had to do for school. ='3
For our illustration class, we were handed a bunch of real insects (though they were dead) and told that we should sketch them and look closely at how everything looks and stuff. I went for this cool grasshopper (which sadly only has two of its legs left after people in other classes weren't careful enough with it ).
Then we had to transform it into a mechanical version, yet keep one part organic. Last step, we had to draw it on a big piece of paper and either colour it with coloured pencils or normal ones. As you can see, I went for colour (wheeee!) and left the head organic.
This was quite fun to do, and a bit of a challenge since I've never really drawn anything mechanical before. I think it came out pretty nice. =3
Had to take a picture of it though and then adjust the colours in Photoshop (dark edges cause of the photo), cause the page was too big to fit on a scanner (though the actual drawing area is only A4 sized).
Hope you like it!
