Fits kind of in my Native American project thingie though. Actually one of my older realism, done on January 26, 2003. Made this into a tutorial thingie too, kind of. ='3
Still proud of this one, even though there are quite a lot of things that could've been done better. But I'm happy with this. Reference photo used.
This is just insanely impressive! When I first joined OC I'd stare at this every few days in complete disbelief. Then I'd watch the animation over and over again, then go see the tutorial and would still be amazed at how you did it
Really though, the detailing and textures are amazing, especially on the horse's head. In fact, I remember this photo from webshots and I was quite surprised to see that you'd actually managed to add in more details than in the reference
Even the composition is striking on this, beautiful piece ^o^

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
