Aaaah, some fantasy art. You probably won't notice it yet in my gallery here, but I'm a big fan of fantasy creatures and anything related to it. Mostly winged creatures.
*feels the urge to draw dragons and gryphons* =X
But this is something a bit different: a winged wolf. Yes yes. I had actually done this drawing ages ago already when I was still quite new to oekaki. And that drawing really kind of sucked back then. I did this one about one and a half or about two years later, to see how I'd improved. Sure, this is in a more realistic style, but I would've never been able to do this when I first started with oekaki. So I'm really happy with the progress I've made. =3
What I like about this drawing is about everything but the background. The wings and fur turned out good enough and were fun to do and I like the firefliesssssss. That rock and tree thingie however, are like, not that great. Ah well, can't have everything eh. ^^"
I'm loving the nocturnal feel of this piece. For an oekaki, you've incorporated some great emotion here. The fireflies add that perfect, mystical spice to this, and every detail seems intricately accounted for. I especially love the leaves in the background, regardless of what you say. The reds and yellows adorning each leaf makes things seem so realistic.
hee hee, I was just going to say that I particularly like the background in this drawing ^______~
The background is excellent, I think, because you can really feel the evening wind in it The grass looks amazing and I really like the way you drew the tree... it looks so lovely against the sky ^o^ and of course the delicate fireflies...
The wolf looks wonderful as well, which is no surprise considering your realism skills, and the winged wolf idea is great!
I really love this drawing, you do fantasy so well *adds to favourites* ^o^
Mwee, another beautiful piece. I love the details that you have here too, the strands and pattern of the fur and all of the tiny feathers...and even more with the background, I can't believe you. *stare* The grass is amazing, and so is the rock in the background and the multicolored leaves...what I would give to sit in a place like that and watch the fireflies, haha. Great sky colors and stars there as well, they merge/complement the fireflies and grass very well...again gorgeous lovely. <3
